MILLENIAL MANIA: A VINTEL WINE CLASS @ PETITE MAISON
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH
6:30pm - 8pm

It’s cooling down outside, so it’s officially time to switch from gin & tonics to wine (or at least add them back to the repetoire). As such, we are welcoming back Chris Kelly & Rania Zayyat from Vintel for a series of wine classes with some seriously fun topics.

The first in the series covers a new generation of wine drinkers and discusses changing tastes. As Chris says, “Millennials have a proud sense of humanity that trickles in to their wine selections. This generation of consumers has a new appetite for and attention to the wines they consume, rather than collect. We won't be pouring blue natch into your Game Boy mug per se, but we will taste trends, great juice, and a ton of new (really old) wine techniques along the way.”

Tickets are $35 and include multiple wines to taste, snacks and sparkling conversation. Tickets are available HERE for purchase and are limited, so get yours today.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH
5pm - 10:30pm

Treat yourself for a cause!

We’re thrilled to host the Gazelle Foundation for a fun-draiser! The event on Wednesday, September 26, 5pm-10:30 pm. will raise awareness about water scarcity and the Foundation's work to build clean water systems and save lives.

Board members and staff from the Gazelle Foundation will be on hand to share information about the organization. 15% of proceeds from the entire evening will go to the Foundation, so guests can feel extra good about going out on a Wednesday. Jon Klekman will perform live music in the wine garden from 8 - 10pm. Come for happy hour and stay for dinner. Reservations are encouraged walk-ins are always welcome.

"My friends, we are making history. Lenoir understands both a clean and sustainable water source, they are the ideal partner for the Gazelle Foundation and Run For The Water," says Gilbert Tuhabonye, coach, retired professional runner, philanthropist, author, and community leader in Austin, Texas.

"To date, the Gazelle Foundation has completed around 45 projects, laid over 100 miles of pipeline and have provided daily access to clean water to about 89,500 people. Special events like Lenoir's cocktail party and dinner allow us to continue our mission. The Gazelle Foundation knows that clean water is the key to life, by partnering with us Lenoir is now part of our narrative, says Courtney Waldren, Executive Director of the Gazelle Foundation.

This will be fun, friendly and open to the public. Come for a bit or the whole night. We look forward to seeing you there!

TYPICITY VS TERROIR: A VINTEL WINE CLASS @ PETITE MAISON
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17TH
6:30pm - 8pm

It’s cooling down outside, so it’s officially time to switch from gin & tonics to wine (or at least add them back to the repetoire). As such, we are welcoming back Chris Kelly & Rania Zayyat from Vintel for a series of wine classes with some seriously fun topics.

The second in the series discusses whether we should judge the quality of wine by typicity or terroir. As Chris says, “Wine people become consumed by these two wine words, typicity and terroir, to the point that they become almost mantra. Typicity is suggesting that a varietal shows signature characteristics that are more easily identified, and therefore, categorizable—'this New World pinot taste like a true New World pinot should.' Terroir, is relating to geographic place; soil, sun expossure, subtle environmental factors, and the winemaker's hand, (his/her decision how to utilize terroir and ultimately, their sense for typicity) which is more of the x-factor... and we'll defineitly taste the x-factor!

Wine should taste unique to its place. Consumers tend to judge a wine against other wines, which is a terrible handicap in discovering true uniqueness. Two wines, should be in no way similar but reflective of their particular environs, climate and the decisions of those making the wine.”

Come see what all the fuss is about. Tickets are $35 and include multiple wines to taste, snacks and sparkling conversation. Tickets are available HERE for purchase and are limited, so get yours today.

LIFE OF WINE: A VINTEL WINE CLASS @ PETITE MAISON
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH
6:30pm - 8pm

It’s cooling down outside, so it’s officially time to switch from gin & tonics to wine (or at least add them back to the repetoire). As such, we are welcoming back Chris Kelly & Rania Zayyat from Vintel for a series of wine classes with some seriously fun topics.

The third in the series discusses which wines age best and how do we know when to open them. As Chris says, “The lifespan of a wine... It may be the biggest quagmire of all: how long will a wine last and more importantly, when should it be popped? We'll taste through various examples in different stages of their lives — young wines, middle aged ones, and yes, old wines! We'll round out with a debate whether this generation has chosen accessibility in wine over storing and cellaring them.”

Come see what all the fuss is about. Tickets are $35 and include multiple wines to taste, snacks and sparkling conversation. Tickets are available HERE for purchase and are limited, so get yours today.
